Saturday 25th April 2020 10am – 4pm
A return to the popular willow obelisk plant support workshop. In the morning we will build a 180cm/200cm tall willow obelisk in a wig-wam shape. I’ll show you how construct & weave the stems together by adding some coloured willow whips & also some strengthening twine work. In the afternoon after a light lunch we will learn how to sow, germinate & grow beautiful fragrant sweet peas successfully. They are easy plants to grow but there are some professional techniques I will share with you to make growing them simpler.
The venue is my garden at Apple Tree Cottage, 3 Nursery Terrace, Potten End, Berkhamsted, Herts HP4 2QU. The workshop cost is £70. I will provide all the willow stems, tools & materials, lunch, drinks, sweet pea seeds, labels & compost. Bring your own gloves & also something to take your sown sweet-pea cylinders home.
This workshop is suitable for small private groups, maximum four people.
