Saturday 6th April, 10am – 4pm
Sunday 7th April, 10am – 4pm
A return to the popular willow obelisk plant support workshop which I last ran in 2017. In the morning we will build a 180cm/200cm tall willow obelisk in a wig-wam shape. I’ll show you how construct & weave the stems together by adding some coloured willow whips & also some strengthening twine work. In the afternoon after a home made vegetarian/vegan lunch we will learn how to sow, germinate & grow beautiful fragrant sweet peas successfully. They are easy plants to grow but there are some professional techniques I will share with you to make growing them simpler. The venue is my garden at Apple Tree Cottage, 3 Nursery Terrace, Potten End, Berkhamsted, Herts HP4 2QU. The workshop cost is £70 with a separate £15 course materials charge payable cash on the day. I will provide all the willow stems, tools & materials, lunch, drinks, sweet pea seeds, labels & compost. And also something to take your sown sweet-pea cylinders home. This workshop is running on both Saturday & Sunday, please select your preferred day from the drop down menu.
